Services We Offer
At the Pittsburgh Center for Cognitive Resilience, we provide advanced, non-invasive neuroregulation services in Wexford, PA to help you achieve lasting mental wellness.
QEEG Brain Mapping
Before starting any neural training, it is crucial to understand your brain’s unique baseline. Our clinic utilizes advanced QEEG Brain Mapping in Pittsburgh to capture a detailed, high-resolution snapshot of your brain’s electrical activity.
The brain mapping process is comfortable, non-invasive, and painless. We fit a specialized sensor cap containing 19 electrodes onto your scalp using a water-soluble conductive gel. Over a 20-minute session, the system records your brainwave frequencies under two distinct conditions: 2 recordings of 6 minutes each with eyes open and eyes closed. The process is easy and comfortable.
Once recorded, we process the digital signals to remove minor muscle artifacts. The clean data is then analyzed by comparing your brainwave speeds (Delta, Theta, Alpha, and Beta waves) against a database of neurotypical individuals of the exact same age. This generates a detailed "Z-score map" showing exactly where brainwave patterns deviate significantly from normal parameters. We use this map to pinpoint areas of overactivity or underactivity that correlate with symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, depression, and OCD, allowing us to design highly personalized training protocols.
Neurofeedback Training
Once we have your QEEG map, we will go over the detailed clinical report with you in person. If you choose, we can begin to correct brain imbalances using Neurofeedback Training (a clinical form of biofeedback therapy in Pittsburgh).
Neurofeedback and biofeedback training use operant conditioning (reward-based learning) to teach your brain to regulate its own activity. During a session, small sensors are placed on key areas of the scalp using a conductive paste. These sensors simply read the electrical signals produced by your brain—they do not send any electricity or stimulation into you.
While sitting in a comfortable chair, you watch a video or play a training game. The training system monitors your brainwaves millisecond-by-millisecond. When your brain produces target frequencies (e.g. alert focus waves) and reduces unwanted frequencies (e.g. slow theta waves), the video plays smoothly and bright. If your brainwaves drift out of the target zone, the screen dims and the volume drops. Because the brain naturally prefers clear audio and visual feedback, it shifts its wave patterns to keep the screen bright. Over multiple sessions, these self-regulation patterns are reinforced and become permanent neural pathways.
Peak Performance Training
Designed for executives, athletes, and students looking to optimize cognitive function, attention, and stress resilience. Peak Performance training helps individuals strengthen their mental stamina and cognitive agility.
Through advanced brain training, you can learn to transition quickly into highly focused "flow states" and rapidly recover from high-stress spikes. This helps improve executive decision making under pressure, increase working memory, and strengthen attention endurance without relying on stimulants.

Understanding the Process
Neurofeedback is a safe, non-invasive process that helps your brain learn to regulate itself. By measuring brainwave activity in real-time, it teaches your brainwaves to find healthier, more balanced patterns.
QEEG Brain Mapping
We start with a detailed 19-sensor QEEG brain map. This non-invasive assessment baseline shows us exactly how your brain is functioning, highlighting specific areas of over- or under-activity that match your symptoms.
